Just had a "phantom" call from this number. My new strategy is to answer then ask them to hold the line and then wait till they get fed up and hang up. I figure the longer they are on the line without making a sale the less effective cold calling becomes and the less likely they are to do it - just me doing it not going to have a huge impact I know, but grains of sand in the ocean and all that.............................

I am very aware of scams and am quite au fait with the Internet and premium rate numbers etc. I have had over £20 taken from me in June and early July by this number. By my calculations theres another £20 on the next bill. Just spoken to Three.co.uk who are my suppliers and am awaiting a call back from them. There should be a blanket ban on such sites

Phone rings - seems no-one there when answered, but after a few seconds of silence, an automated "Goodbye".

I got a call from this number today and as I am always sat at my pc I googled the number and before google had finished searching they had ended the call. I hope to answer it next time I take a large amount of pleasure in wasting the time of people/companies like these. My faviourite is to pretend they have contacted a restricted number that is in use by Buckingham palace and that always cuts them off though, so its best to pretend they have called you whilst you are trying to resolve a plumbing problem and then press them for advice on fixing a dodgy seal on a U-Bend.
